What is cold-pressed oil? How is it made?Cold-pressed oil is a natural oil extracted by grounding and pressing the seeds without adding chemicals and preservatives. The seeds are sun-dried and placed in wood press machine or expeller for grounding and pressing. The oil extracted is then filtered using cotton cloth. The bi-product of this process is cake (called as ‘chekka’ in telugu). It is used to feed cattle.
